Greetings. My name is Linda Rapka. Welcome to the web space I call home.

As a native Angelino, I hold a distinct affinity for the music, food and culture this fair city has to offer. I am particularly keen on interviewing bands and am fortunate enough to have various media outlets through which to share them. An online archive of my published works can be found on my blog, which from time to time also plays host to my random musings.

I've established this website to serve as a unifying resource for the varied facets of my professional, personal and otherwise existing lives.

I'm often asked where the inspiration for my website domain, Pull My Daizy, came from. The name stems from the poem "Pull My Daisy" written by Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and Neal Cassady in the late 1940s in a similar way of the surrealist exquisite corpse game, where one person writes the first line, another writes the second, and so on sequentially, with each person only being shown the line before. As a writer, editor and avid reader, I developed a fondness for the notion of multiple people contributing to a single written work, and firmly believe that a copyeditor's contribution to an author's work enhances its quality and, most importantly, the enjoyment experienced by the reader.

Also please note that neither this website nor myself are affiliated in any with this fine shop Pull My Daisy located on Sunset Boulevard, other than me popping by as a patron every now and then.
